Fifty-six years of service in Malawi's capital
The Rotary Club of Lilongwe is a service organisation chartered in 1970, now the largest club in Rotary District 9210, which spans Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and northern Mozambique. Its members are professionals—lawyers, engineers, doctors, bankers, architects, contractors and entrepreneurs—who apply their skills to local challenges such as clean water access, eye care, education and economic development. The club organises projects across Rotary's seven Areas of Focus, including water and sanitation, disease prevention, education, maternal and child health, environment and peacebuilding, often partnering with The Rotary Foundation's grant programmes. The club meets weekly at the Bingu International Convention Centre and welcomes visiting Rotarians and prospective members.
