Steppe Cosmos

Steppe Cosmos is a project sharing the Mongolian Gobi with the world, focusing on its dark night skies, nomadic traditions, history and landscape. The site offers stories and background on topics like Mongolian star names, the ger and herding life, Gobi history from dinosaurs to the Mongol Empire, and the products of the herd such as wool and cashmere. The team is building toward dark-sky journeys in Dundgovi province, though they are not yet taking bookings. For now, visitors can follow along as the story develops through articles and content about the Gobi's land, sky and people.
