ShockTown’s YES Community Program

ShockTown's YES Community Program is a free, law-enforcement-led crime prevention and youth leadership initiative that uses sports activities to connect with elementary-aged youth. The four-week program partners with schools and community organizations, combining prevention education with leadership-building activities. Topics covered include bullying prevention, gang prevention, substance abuse prevention, and human trafficking awareness, alongside character-building elements like leadership development, responsible decision-making, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The program aims to provide positive role models and equip youth with the knowledge and confidence needed to make safer life choices and become productive community members. Families can sign up children, volunteers can join as mentors or coaches, and donations help keep the program free.
