Excursion Fishing

Excursion Fishing offers full-day fly, spin, and baitcasting trips on the De las Vueltas river and Lago del Desierto, near El Chaltén in Argentine Patagonia. Trips run roughly ten hours, from an 8am pick-up to a 6pm return, with expert local guides, all fishing gear, and lunch included. Anglers fish for brown and rainbow trout and, at times, Chinook salmon, in small groups of one to four people with one guide per two anglers. No prior experience is needed, as the day includes a casting clinic, and the itinerary adapts to each group's fitness and preferences. The season runs from October 1 to May 3, and trips operate rain or shine.
