Engineering education researcher studying AI judgment and student transitions
This is the academic homepage of Daniel I. Adeniranye, PhD, known as ProfDan, a faculty member in the Department of Engineering Education at The Ohio State University. His research focuses on how engineering students make decisions at points of transition, including when to use, limit, or decline generative AI, how students move between institutions, and how they prepare for professional practice. His work spans three strands: AI in engineering and STEM education, transfer and transition pathways, and engineering formation through experiential learning. His research has appeared in Computers and Education Open and ASEE conference proceedings. The site shares his research program, publications, teaching activities, and current projects, including ongoing studies and a usability testing initiative.
