Luke Taylor

This is the personal and academic website of Luke Taylor, a PhD Researcher at the Creative Computing Institute, University of the Arts London. His research explores Nature-informed Participatory AI Governance, drawing on the informal governance practices of 1970s-80s London community filmmakers and lessons from nature. The site showcases his practice of making systems visible and understandable, selected projects spanning open data, machine learning, policy diagrams, workshops and AI-assisted tools, as well as his academic publications and funding. Before his PhD, he worked as a Platform and Site Reliability Engineer at the Government Digital Service and in UK town planning policy, and taught as a Teach First teacher.
