Description

Pa Mai Kuay Jap is a small, long-running kuay jap (Teochew-style rice noodle soup) stall located in an old wooden house in the Chanthaboon waterfront community of Chanthaburi, Thailand. With no sign out front, the shop has become known to locals simply through word of mouth, having served the same dish continuously for more than fifty years. The owner, Pa Mai, began selling kuay jap at around twenty years old and has kept the tradition going ever since. The stall has been featured in local media and in a Wongnai interview, as well as mentioned in TikTok videos calling it a '50-year legendary kuay jap'. It offers a simple, nostalgic dining experience for visitors exploring the historic riverside neighborhood.
