Materials scientist exploring polymer self-assembly and thin-film transport
Nayanathara Hendeniya is a materials scientist whose research focuses on how polymers self-assemble at the nanoscale and how processing shapes their structure and behavior. She studies block copolymer self-assembly, thin-film molecular transport, and uses X-ray scattering and microscopy to connect nanoscale structure to material history. She currently holds a postdoctoral research associate position at Rice University and is an Advanced Light Source Postdoctoral Fellow in Residence at Berkeley Lab. Her academic path has taken her from Sri Lanka to Iowa and now to Berkeley, California. The site shares her research interests, selected publications, and background, with links to her Google Scholar, ORCID, and LinkedIn profiles for those interested in her scientific contributions.
