Heart Fit to Fly

Heart Fit to Fly provides fit-to-fly and fitness-to-drive letters for people with heart conditions, such as those recovering from a heart attack, stent, heart surgery, or living with heart failure, valve disease, arrhythmia or a pacemaker. Letters are reviewed and signed by a UK consultant interventional cardiologist on the GMC Specialist Register, based on submitted medical records like discharge summaries and scans. Most cases are handled without an appointment, with letters issued within three working days; complex cases may require a short video consultation. The service is aimed at UK adults needing documentation for airlines, travel insurers or employers, and does not provide prescribing, treatment or emergency care. Currently opening soon.
