Active Lebanon

Active Lebanon is a Norway-based nonprofit connecting Lebanese communities and friends of Lebanon worldwide. Politically and religiously independent, it welcomes people from diverse backgrounds who share a belief in a free, equal and sustainable Lebanon. The organisation focuses on three main areas: supporting students facing financial hardship to continue their education, standing in solidarity for human rights and accountability, and fostering cultural connection through film, dialogue and exchange between Lebanon, Norway and the wider community. Founded in 2020, it is guided by five core values: independence, secularity, transparency, freedom and equality, and sustainability. Its work is documented through a public archive of initiatives, statements and events.
