Footage Back

Footage Back is a macOS-based data recovery service specializing in memory cards and drives. It scans storage read-only, without ever writing to the source, and lists all recoverable videos, photos and documents. Users get free previews—watermarked storyboards for video and thumbnails for photos—before deciding what to recover, and pay only per recovered file. The service supports formats like Blackmagic RAW, ProRes, MXF, RED, WAV, JPEG and PDF, and works across exFAT, FAT16/32, NTFS, HFS+ and APFS file systems. Each recovery includes a report with source and result file hashes, offering transparency and forensic-level care rather than a generic repair approach.
