Evening dining and card salon in a former pastel dye house
Maison Tarno occupies a former pastel dye workshop on rue Timbal in Albi, France, now serving as an evening restaurant and card salon. Guests can dine on regional Tarn cuisine and Gaillac wines, or play cards at one of seven felt tables in the old drying room, with no stakes or winnings involved—only food and drinks are charged. The venue preserves original brick vaults and indigo-stained floors from its dyeing past. Open Thursday to Monday, it seats thirty-six diners and offers both walk-in and reserved card tables, plus a Thursday beginners' session. Entry is restricted to adults.
Opening hours: Thu-Mon 17:30-00:00
