Phylo is a desktop digital audio workstation that lets composers create music as code rather than rendered audio. Projects export as compact web pages that perform the composition live in a listener's browser, using generative functions so the piece can sound different on every visit or stay identical when desired. Compositions are built from Movements, made of phrases, device racks and modular instruments, offering a familiar DAW-style workflow. Features include clock-anchored playback so listeners join a continuously running piece, MIDI 2.0 controller support, and versioning of devices and Movements. It's designed for musicians and sound designers interested in generative, lightweight, web-based music.
