Description

The Ventix occupies a former picture theatre on Baylis Street in Wagga Wagga, where the old cinema seating has been replaced by eleven card tables spread across three terraces. Visitors can play social games such as euchre, five hundred, gin rummy and hold'em for points only, with no wagering, no poker machines and no online play. A short Riverina supper menu is served, especially during the twenty-minute interval, alongside a small bar. The original 1938 deco features — plaster fluting, terrazzo and the ticket window — remain intact. The venue runs two sessions a night and is strictly for over-18s with photo ID required, offering a distinctive social card-playing experience rather than gambling.

Opening hours: Two sessions a night
