We’re!

We're! is a community group active in the Iwatsuki area of Saitama, Japan, working to bring small moments of fun into everyday local life rather than leaving them as one-off events. The team formed during the COVID-19 pandemic, when members who wanted to support local businesses launched a takeout-support initiative inspired by a similar project in Beppu, and later regrouped around a night market in 2021. Today the group organises street markets, seasonal festivals and music events together with partner members including a town-development company, a local information site and a jazz music group, welcoming anyone who wants to take part in Iwatsuki town-making.
