Blessing Egbe

Blessing Egbe is a researcher, AI ethicist and speaker focused on responsible AI adoption, governance, ethics and policy. She works with organisations and institutions, centering African and Global South contexts in her approach. She is co-founder and CEO of Smait Maven, which helps organisations understand and govern AI, serves as an AI Ethicist with the Africa Tech for Development Initiative conducting risk, bias and impact assessments, and founded the Smait Foundation for AI literacy and ethics advocacy. She has authored a book, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Understanding, and speaks at conferences, schools and institutions on responsible AI, emphasizing early ethical questioning and building AI literacy as a foundation for effective governance.
