Barış Ak

Barış Ak is a chef instructor based in Ankara, Türkiye, working across culinary practice, teaching and gastronomy research. His career spans professional kitchens, restaurant concepts and consultancy, including founding and co-founding several hospitality ventures in Istanbul and Bodrum. He now teaches at Bilkent University, bringing hands-on kitchen experience into culinary education and connecting technique with the realities of hospitality and food culture. His current research explores sustainable food systems and permaculture, extending his interest in gastronomy beyond the kitchen to the systems and environments through which food is produced. The site presents his practice, teaching and research work.
