Description

Alpalova produces throws and fabrics by the metre made from a blend of baby alpaca and Pima cotton, with production based in Puno and Lima, Peru, and an office in Biella, Italy. Their signature yarn is created by blowing baby alpaca fibre into a knitted tube of Pima cotton, giving the cloth volume, warmth and lightness. Throws are woven by hand on wooden looms in Puno, while chunky knits are made elsewhere in Peru. The business serves tailors, fashion brands, cloth merchants, interior designers and hospitality clients, offering swatch cards, samples and spec sheets on request for those wanting to feel the cloth before ordering.
