AVA – Anaesthesia Vision for Africa

AVA is a pan-African professional network that connects anaesthesia residents, nurse anaesthetists, students, specialists and institutions across Africa. It aims to advance safe anaesthesia, perioperative medicine and critical care by enabling members to learn, research and lead together. The network complements existing national societies, universities and hospitals rather than replacing them. AVA offers learning programmes, CPD resources, slides and study notes, grand rounds, journal clubs, articles and case discussions. It also hosts community features such as news updates and a country finder, plus a public-facing tool to find anaesthesia providers. Membership is open to anaesthesia professionals and institutions across the continent who want to join the movement.
