An enterprise architecture framework for organisations run partly by software agents.
Charterion is an enterprise architecture framework built for organisations whose software agents act under authority the organisation grants. It addresses a gap in classical frameworks like TOGAF, ArchiMate and Zachman, which assume a human reads the model before acting. Charterion instead treats agents as first-class actors, defines authority in formal, machine-checkable semantics, and tests each action's admissibility at the moment it is attempted rather than only at design time. It also traces delegation to a named human, aiming to preserve accountability as agents call other agents across teams and organisations. Version 1.1 is archived on Zenodo with a permanent DOI, alongside earlier releases.
