CicaSmile

CicaSmile is a nonprofit based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, founded by Patricia Panzu to support survivors of burns on their path to full reconstruction. The organization works across four pillars: medical guidance and referrals to specialized care, psychological support through therapy and family accompaniment, social reintegration via professional training and income-generating activities, and public awareness campaigns to fight stigma and promote inclusion. CicaSmile aims to help survivors regain dignity, autonomy, and their place in society, relying on donations and hospital partnerships to fund its programs and expand its reach across the country.
