GimbalPilot

GimbalPilot is a browser-based app for Windows and macOS that adds auto-tracking to DJI RS gimbals, with the RS 3 Mini verified. It connects to the gimbal over Bluetooth directly from a laptop and uses on-device AI on the camera's HDMI feed to keep a person framed, adjusting pan, tilt and zoom automatically. It's designed as an alternative to expensive PTZ cameras or ActiveTrack-style systems, letting users track a subject with their own mirrorless camera and no extra hardware. A game controller can override tracking manually when needed. It's used in settings like church services and lectures where one operator or laptop replaces a full camera crew. Runs in Chrome or Edge.
