Gumtree Wool Store

Gumtree Wool Store occupies a former wool store on Macquarie Street in Dubbo, keeping the original sawtooth roof, hoist and classing benches. It combines a charcoal kitchen, cooking coal-fired lamb over ironbark and redgum coals, with a card room featuring eight tables, four of them the original wool-classing benches. Card games are purely social, with no buy-ins, cash-outs or real stakes involved. The venue is licensed, adults-only, and seats around seventy people. There's a weekly free teaching hour for newcomers to learn the games. Unlike many gaming venues, everything happens in person on-site, with no app, login or online play offered.

Opening hours: Teaching hour Wed 18:00-19:00
