Illini Dental Hygiene Society

Illini Dental Hygiene Society is a professional membership organization serving registered dental hygienists, educators, public health advocates, and hygiene students throughout Champaign County and Central Illinois. The society advances clinical practice and preventative healthcare through accredited continuing education, including seminars and workshops on periodontics, anesthesia protocols, infection control, and ergonomics. It also engages in advocacy around scope of practice and legislative issues affecting the profession, and supports students through mentorship, board exam preparation, and career guidance. The organization further contributes to community health via outreach efforts such as school and health fair oral assessments, functioning as a regional forum for networking and professional growth as an affiliate of the Illinois Dental Hygienists' Association.
