Kumasi Zongo Green Innovations Hub (KZGIH)

KZGIH is a grassroots hub based at Central Mosque, Asawasi, serving Kumasi Zongo communities and surrounding schools in Ghana. It equips Senior High School students, out-of-school youth, and informal artisans with green skills, eco-enterprise incubation, and practical STEM pathways. Through two tracks—School-based Green Ambassadors clubs and a Green Artisan & Enterprise Academy—it addresses waste, drainage, flooding, and energy challenges by turning them into economic opportunities. The hub currently runs a 12-month pilot phase focused on circular economy, clean energy transition, urban climate resilience, and early STEM/Green TVET, aiming to build a climate-resilient green economy from classroom to workshop.
