Le Vireno

Le Vireno occupies a former porcelain insulator workshop on rue Voltaire in Vierzon, near the old train station. The venue combines a dinner service with a discreet card-playing space at the back, featuring six felt tables refreshed each autumn. Entry is restricted to adults 18 and over, and the house insists that no money changes hands: chips are for scorekeeping only, with no stakes or winnings involved. Guests can enjoy regional Berry cuisine and wines from the Cher, seated among the original press and porcelain moulds kept on display. Open Wednesday to Sunday, the schedule loosely follows the rhythm of the old train timetable, with quieter afternoons on Sunday and busier evenings on Friday and Saturday.
