L’Échoppe

L'Échoppe occupies a former brick engraver's workshop on rue de la République in Montauban. The front room serves a Quercy-style evening menu, while the back room, once the engraver's workroom, houses seven card tables for belote, manille, tarot and poker among friends, using tokens with no cash value. The workshop's original press, engraving plates and tools remain on display. There is no online play, no betting and no monetary gains involved. Entry is restricted to those 18 and older. A Thursday trial table offers free rules explanations to newcomers.
