Niliwaze is a mental health docuseries by AYYA, Inc., featuring real people speaking directly to camera about life's struggles, hope, and experiences. Each short episode, lasting one to three minutes, features a different individual sharing their own words without narration or added commentary. The vertical, subtitle-driven format is designed for easy viewing on mobile platforms like Instagram and TikTok. The project aims to make it easier for viewers to feel less alone by normalizing conversations about mental health. Niliwaze is one of several initiatives from AYYA, Inc., alongside AYYA Health and Mending Thoughts, which focus on mental healthcare accessibility and awareness within African and Swahili-speaking communities.
