Saltpan Lodge is a dining hall and poker room in Port Hedland, set in a converted old lodge with a deep verandah and ceiling fans. From half past four, Ryan Harper's kitchen serves soups made from scratch stock and roasts, while four poker tables fill from around six, Thursday to Monday. Poker is played in person only, on house chips with no monetary value, no entry fee and no payouts – there's no online play, wagering or pokies. Guests must be 18 or over. Dinner and poker seats are booked separately. The game rotates through Texas Hold'em, Omaha on Fridays, and Seven Card Stud and Five Card Draw on Sundays.
