Waimak Ski Co.

Waimak Ski Co. is a ski and snowboard hire shop in Springfield, New Zealand, on SH73, serving skiers and riders heading to Canterbury's club fields including Broken River, Craigieburn, Cheeseman, Olympus, Temple Basin and Porters. Since most club fields don't rent gear on the hill, the shop supplies skis, boards, nutcrackers, harnesses, snow chains and avalanche safety kit, with pick-up the night before and drop-off on the way home. Each winter morning staff call around the fields and check road cams to report on tow access, road conditions and nutcracker requirements. The business also offers guidance for first-time nutcracker users and touring setups for backcountry access.
